My initial interests with historical objects began as a child. Having never known my paternal grandparents, I was given only the objects they left behind after death in order to learn who they had been, and where my family had come from. My portfolio is comprised of sculptural works that stimulate a thematic commentary about the degradation, decimation, and demise of previous generations. The works highlight the importance of preserving historically significant objects, the unique testaments that they embody, and the lessons they have to teach us about our origins.
